Melita DeBellis, CPCC is a Certified Professional Coactive Coach in Richmond, Vermont who works with individuals seeking their own definition of purpose, place, and passion in their lives and careers.
A Jersey Girl by birth, Melita attended the University of Vermont where she attained her B.A. in Spanish. She also received a Juris Doctor degree from the National Law Center, George Washington University in Washington, DC. She has been trained and certified in coaching by the Coaches Training Institute of San Rafael, California, www.TheCoaches.com and is a member of the International Coach Federation.
Melita is also an associate with The Center for Third Age Leadership, www.ThirdAgeCenter.com and a co-author of its proprietary coaching program, “Coaching for Third Age Fulfillment”. The program is based on the groundbreaking research of sociologist and author Dr. William Sadler, author of “The Third Age, Six Principles of Growth and Renewal after 40”, and is specifically designed to meet the challenging needs of individuals seeking a new sense of personal fulfillment, contribution, and identity as their roles shift in the second half of life.
Melita’s professional experience began in Washington, DC as an attorney specializing in the practice of immigration law. Her legal background took her into the area of employment law, which led to many years of experience in human resource management and consulting. Her professional path has journeyed through the legal, manufacturing, non-profit, and consulting arenas. In 1996 Melita returned to Vermont, and after discovering coaching and pursuing formal training and certification in 2002, Melita established her business – Turning Point Coaching in January of 2003.
